Singha, learned counsel for the writ petitioner. Mr. R. Borpujari, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department, Assam, appearing for the respondent nos. 1 & 2, by placing the communication dated 09.04.2025, from the Treasury Officer, Nagaon submits that the stoppage of payment of pension to the petitioner is on account of the order of the Director of Pension, dated 07.12.2024, whereby on the objection of one Mrs. Jahanara Begum, who claims to be the first wife of the deceased husband of the petitioner, the order of payment has been passed. Mr. S.K. Singha, learned counsel, having acknowledged such order of the Director of Pension, which has been passed on the objection of said Mrs. Jahanara Begum, who claims to be the first wife of the deceased husband of the petitioner, fairly submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition, with a liberty to file afresh. In view of the above, the writ petition stands closed as withdrawn with the liberty as prayed for. A copy of the communication dated 09.04.2025, produced by the learned standing counsel be kept in the record, by marking it by letter ‘X’. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
