The limited grievance that the petitioner has in the present writ petition is the non releasing of the GPF amount and the pension payable to him RAHUL JHA Digitally signed by RAHUL JHA Date: 2025.02.25 10:26:37 +0530 2 on his retirement. 2. The facts of the case is that the petitioner had retired from service on the post of Lecturer w.e.f. 30.06.2020 and though more than 15 months have passed till date the GPF account of the petitioner has not been settled and the pension also has not been finalized in inasmuch the petitioner has not received any amount of provident fund and neither any amount towards the pension, even anticipatory pension has not been released. 3. The counsel appearing for the respondent-Accountant General submits that since the required DDO has not been received from the concerned employer i.e. the State authorities, the process could not be finalized. 4. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, this court is of the firm view that it is not a case which needs admission and calling for the reply of the respondents. The matter can be disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 6 to immediately process the claim of the petitioner for GPF as also pension and the entire payable amount including the arrears should be released to the petitioner within an outer limit of 120 days and the entire amount payable shall also carry interest @ 10 percent per annum. The interest part shall be recovered from the erring officers who have not processed the claim of the petitioner promptly. 5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
