HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - A No. - 14849 of 2025 Court No. - 4 HON'BLE AJIT KUMAR, J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 26th March, 2025 and 29th May, 2025 passed by Disciplinary Authority as well as Appellate Authority. A preliminary objection has been raised by learned Standing Counsel regarding maintainability of this petition on the ground that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy of revision before the competent authority under the relevant provisions of Rule 13 of Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of the subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the above legal position. In view of the above, while I decline to grant indulgence in the matter at this stage, I dispose of this petition with a direction that in the event petitioner prefers revision before the competent authority within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of by means of a reasoned and speaking order within a further period of two months.
