Order on Board 24/02/2025 Heard.
1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent/ Collector for early disposal of the application filed by the petitioner seeking permission to sell rehabilitation land under Section 165(7) (b) of the C.G. Land Revenue Code, 1959 bearing Revenue Proceedings No. 202106021700068/62 of 2020-21.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits, that he has moved an application under Section 165 (7) (b) of the C.G. Land Revenue Code, 1959 seeking permission to sell rehabilitation land and the Collector has taken steps on the said application dated 07.10.2024 and sought report from the Tahsildar by enquiring into grievance and the contention made by the
3 petitioner in the application and thereafter no further steps have been taken and the application is still pending.
3. Learned State counsel submits that, if the application is still pending before the Collector, necessary steps will be taken and appropriate orders will be passed within 45 days in accordance with law.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the proceedings drawn under Section 165 (7) (b) of the C.G. Land Revenue Code.
5. Perusal of the documents shows that Collector has already taken certain steps and passed certain orders on 07.10.2024 seeking report from the Tahsildar. Considering the same, it is
directed that the Collector, Ambikapur, district Surguja shall conclude the proceedings within 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
6. The petitioner is directed to apprise the Collector, Ambikapur about the order of this court.
7. With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands disposed off. Sd/-
