The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for quashing and setting aside the order dated 06.12.2024 issued by the Government of Manipur appointing the respondent no. 7 as Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) on deputation basis couple with a prayer for issuing a direction to consider the entire process of making appointment to the post of Chairman, BOSEM. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, Government of Manipur had issued an order dated 21.11.2025 reducing the term of deputation of the said respondent no. 7 and order his repatriation. The learned GA also submitted that by another order dated 21.11.2025, Shri N. G. Bhogendra Meetei, MCS who is holding the post of Director (Edn.), Government of Manipur has been allowed to hold the post of chairman of BOSEM on deputation basis in addition to his existing post as Director (Edn. Schools). The learned GA submitted that in view of the subsequent development, no cause survives for adjudication in this writ petition and the present writ petition can be closed as infructuous. In view of the submission made by the learned GA appearing for the respondents, this Court of the considered view that no cause survives for adjudication in this writ petition and accordingly the present writ petition is hereby closed as infructuous.
