Vide order dated 08.09.2025 passed by the respondent No.3/Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil Farenda District Maharajganj fair price shop license of the petitioner has been cancelled. Aggrieved with the aforesaid order, statutory appeal No.C2309/202505000002309 along with stay application has been filed before the respondent No.2/Joint Commissioner (Food & Civil Supply) Gorakhpur. 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no decision has been taken on the application for grant of interim protection. 3. On the other hand, it is argued by learned Standing Counsel that respondent No2 will pass appropriate orders in the matter. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/Joint Commissioner (Food & Civil Supply) Gorakhpur to decide the interim protection application filed along with the aforesaid appeal most expeditiously and preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
