Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, or order or direction, more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents 2 to 4 in not providing the police protection to the petitioners as there is threat from the 5th respondent as illegal, arbitrary and violation of principles of natural justice and violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and pass IA NO: 1 OF 2019 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to provide the police protection to the petitioners, pending disposal of the above writ petition and pass Counsel for the Petitioner(S):

ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:
“……..issue an appropriate writ, or order or direction, more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents 2 to 4 in not providing the police protection to the petitioners as there is threat from the 5th respondent as illegal, arbitrary and violation of principles of natural justice and violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and pass..…”
2. Heard Sri K.Srinivas, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions of the Station House Officer, Pedakakani Police Station, Guntur District, submits that disputes arose between the petitioner No.1 and the unofficial respondent on account of matrimonial relations. Later the petitioner No.1 and her husband obtained mutual divorce vide FCOP No.423 of 2025 dated 09.06.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in the light of the instructions/submissions made by learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition may be dismissed, since they obtained mutual divorce through Court of law. The same may be recorded.

5. Recording the said submissions, since the petitioner No.1 and her husband obtained mutual divorce, nothing remains for further adjudication in the Writ Petition, and the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed as infructuous.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, interlocutory applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
