The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 for issuance of directions to official respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioner, which is in grave danger at the hands of private respondents No.5 to 7 and for taking action on complaints/representations dated 30.7.2024, 18.09.2024 and 01.10.2024 (Annexure P-9). 2. Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle Rajpura, District Patiala on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 in compliance of the order dated 11.11.2024 in the Court today, which is taken on record subject to all just exceptions. 3. Mr. Saurav Bhatia, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.7 in the Court today. He has filed Memorandum of Appearance and undertakes to file his Power of Attorney in the Registry of this Court. Learned State counsel, while drawing the attention of this Court to the affidavit, which has been filed today, submits that the matter was thoroughly inquired into, however, no substance was found in the allegations levelled by the petitioners that there existed any threat to their life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents. However, learned State counsel has submitted that in case in future, any threat perception is brought to the notice of the official respondents, they would not hesitate to take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 5. In the circumstances, this Court does not deem it fit to pass directions as prayed for. Therefore, the instant petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
