Opposite Party ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the petitioner(s) : Mr. Jitendra Nath Upadhyay, Advocate For State : Mr. Abhay Kumar Tiwari, APP ----- 02/21.04.2025: This is an application filed by the petitioners praying for grant of anticipatory bail in terms of sections 482 and 484 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, as the petitioners have been allegedly implicated in a criminal case registered for the offences punishable under sections 126(2),118(2), 3(5) of BNS, in connection with Parsudih P.S. Case No. 14 of 2025, pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur. The allegation against the petitioners is that they have assaulted the informant with chapad (a sharp weapon). It is submitted that the other co- accused have been granted bail by the trial court itself but on compromise. Section 118(2) of BNS is not compoundable in nature. Further I find that there is an allegation that the petitioners assaulted the informant with a chapad (a sharp cutting weapon). Considering the allegations, I do not find this case fit for grant of anticipatory bail. Hence, it is dismissed. (ANANDA SEN, J. ) KNR/
