ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 3 31-10-2025 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in possession of the raiyati land since last more than fifty years and the respondent-authority has issued a notice seeking eviction of the petitioners treating the same as Government land. Learned counsel submits that subsequently the Additional Collector, Patna has cancelled the Jamabandi which was standing in the name of the petitioners and the petitioners have assailed the same before the District Magistrate and the same is pending adjudication. Learned counsel submits that pending the adjudication of the appeal before the District Magistrate against the orders of the Additional Collector, Patna dated 14.05.2025 passed in file bearing Memo No. 1245, the authorities are trying to dispossess the petitioners. 2. Having regard to the above made submissions, the present writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the District Magistrate seeking interim protection pending the adjudication of the appeal. The petitioners shall file an application seeking interim protection within a period of four weeks from today and on such application being made, authority shall pass necessary Patna High Court CWJC No.4922 of 2025(3) dt.31-10-2025 3/3 orders on the said application as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of the filing of the said application. 3.
