Raj Pal, who passed away on 24.05.2022 while working as Houseman in the respondent-Corporation. The amount of death-cum- retirement gratuity and leave encashment payable to the petitioner is reflected in the gratuity sanction order and leave encashment sanction order dated 25.04.2024 and appended along with present petition as Annexure P-2 and Annexure P- 3, respectively. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-Corporation does not intend to file any response to the present petition. -2- 3. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed. 50% of the amount of gratuity and leave encashment be released to the petitioner within two weeks from today along-with statutory interest accrued thereupon. The remaining amount along with statutory interest be paid to the petitioner within two months thereafter. 4. It is made clear that if the aforesaid amount is not paid within such period, the same shall carry interest @ 9% per annum from the due date of actual payment.
