1. The petitioner has filed the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the result dated 12.07.2023 (Annexure P-8) to the extent vide which the result of the petitioner for advt. No.17/2022 has been shown as
“withheld” by the respondent-commission, despite the submission of report by defence authorities on dated 15.03.2024 (Annexure P-12). A further prayer has been made to direct the respondent-Department to issue appointment letter to the petitioner by releasing the result as the petitioner fulfills the eligibility criteria required for the post. A further prayer has been made to grant him all consequential benefits including seniority, pay at par etc.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 01.08.2025 (Annexure P-15) to the respondent No.2 and at this stage, he shall be satisfied in case, appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 01.08.2025 (Annexure P-15) in a time bound manner. 4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Swapan Shorey, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and has no serious objection to the limited prayer made by
learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record carefully.

At this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 01.08.2025 (Annexure P-15) submitted by the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking and well reasoned
order. In case, it is found that the petitioner is entitled to any consequential relief, the same shall also be released to him forthwith.
