PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.407 of 2024 of Bommuru Police Station, East Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) read with 8(c) of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 12.12.2024, on receipt of credible information, the Sub-Inspector of police along with his staff and mediators rushed to DVB Raju Lay out, Fruit Market, Diwancheruvu, Rajanagaram Mandal, and found A1 to A4 in possession of 205.800 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 2 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 4. The petitioners herein were arrested on 13.12.2024 and since then they have been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 205.800 Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioners do not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
