JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE) Petitioner currently working in armed forces filed an application before the Deputy Commissioner – 2nd respondent to allot the land under the applicable Rules. 2. The said application is dated 09.10.2022. Later, on 12.06.2023 one more application is submitted to the jurisdictional Tahsildar who is 4th respondent. 3. It is stated that the applications are considered at some level and some proceedings have been initiated pursuant to the application. Later, there is no progress on the said application. Petitioner has produced certain documents relating to the panchanama, said to have been prepared pursuant to the application. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1815 WP No. 200813 of 2025 4. It is noticed that the Tahsildar has recommended the grant of land and same was forwarded to the Assistant Commissioner and inturn the Assistant Commissioner has directed the Tahsildar to reconsider the proposal after considering all the necessary materials. Thereafter, there is no further progress in the matter. Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted one more representation on 15.02.2025 through the lawyer. Same is addressed to the Assistant Commissioner. The admitted factual position is that petitioner’s application is still pending consideration. 5. Hence the following: ORDER (i) Writ petition is disposed of. (ii) Assistant Commissioner – respondent No.3 shall take necessary steps to consider the petitioner’s representation in accordance with law. (iii) It is made clear that nothing is expressed on the merits of the petitioner’s claim. - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1815 WP No. 200813 of 2025 (iv) Respondent No.3 - Assistant Commissioner shall complete the exercise within three months from the date of receipt of this order.
