The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 368 of 2024 for the offences registered under section 96 of the B.N.S., pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla. Petitioner is alleged to have enticed away the minor daughter of the informant to leave her lawful guardianship with the intention to marry her. It was submitted that during the course of investigation, statement of the victim was recorded under Section 183 of the B.N.S.S., in which, she stated that she has left her lawful guardianship according to her own wish. This appears to be a case of adolescent love affair between the parties. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla, in connection with Gumla P.S.
