While the period of actual custody of the petitioner is not disputed, learned State Counsel informs on instructions from SI Malkeet Singh, 5 CP, Panchkula, that the trial is at an advanced stage and already 19 witnesses out of the total 20 witnesses relied upon by the prosecution stand examined.
