1. This is a petition for regular bail filed under Section 483 of BNSS for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 95 dated 25.02.2020 under Sections 22/25/29 of NDPS (Sections 467,468,471,120-B of IPC added later on) registered at Police Station City Barnala District Barnala.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 184 strips of Clovidol 100 SR each strip containing 10 tablets, 160 strips of Prozolam 0.5 each strip containing 10 tablets total 3440 intoxicant tablets falls in commercial quantity.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case on the basis of disclosure statement of co-accused Naresh Mittal. He further submits that the petitioner has no role qua the recovery of the contraband. There is no independent witness to the alleged occurrence and recovery. 4. Learned State counsel vehemently opposes the prayer made by the
learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that the recovery effected from the petitioner falls in the cateogry of commercial quantitiy. He further submits the trial is at the fag end as the case is fixed for defence evidence.
5. I have heard the submissions made by the parties and gone through the record.
6. Keeping in view the alleged role of the petitioner in the crime and the alleged recovery falls under the commerical quantity and the trial being at the fag end, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed.
