The prayer in the instant criminal writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner is widow of one Pawan Kumar and she is in possession of a house as per family settlement, but brother of deceased-Pawan Kumar and his family is interfering in her peaceful possession of the house, which she inherited from her deceased husband, namely, Pawan Kumar. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner has moved a representation dated 03.09.2025 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, but no action has been taken so far.
