This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2 to decide the Restoration Application No. RST 1914/2017 filed by Respondent No.3 to 11 in Revision No. C201705001914/2017 (Laljee and other Vs. Ishaque Ansari and others) with in a stipulated period of time;" 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that a restoration application in proceedings under Section 122(C) of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act is pending consideration before the respondent no. 2. The sole prayer made is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction to the respondent no. 2- Commissioner, Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur to decide the Restoration Application No. RST 1914/201 filed by Respondent No.3 to 11 in Revision No. C201705001914/2017 (Laljee and other Vs. Ishaque Ansari and others), in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits. September 25, 2025 A. V.
