(ORAL) The prayer in the petition under Section 482 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in complaint case bearing No.COMA-9964/2017 dated 23.08.2017 titled as Smt. Jaswant Kaur Vs. Bhupinder Punj under Sectkion 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. On 19.01.2025 the following order was passed:- “ Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that due to wrong and incomplete address furnished by the complainant, petitioner never received any summons and/or warrants in the matter, but he was declared as a proclaimed person vide order dated 29.08.2019 (P-2). He also submits that petitioner is ready to join the proceedings before learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ludhiana, but he be protected. In this view of the matter, interim order dated 09.01.2025 is made absolute. However, the petitioner shall continue to appear before the Court and shall not absent himself from the proceedings without any sufficient cause. The petition stands disposed of.
