The petitioners are major and in order to substantiate the same, they have placed on record their educational testimonials issued by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education. They further claim to have solemnized marriage according to Hindu rites and customs against the wishes of parents of petitioner No. 2. They have also sworn an affidavit with regard to solemnization of marriage. They apprehend threat to their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents, but it appears that they have not approached the Police Authorities for redressal of their grievances in respect of threats advanced to them. 2. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 in respect of their grievances regarding threats and in the event grievances of the petitioners are found genuine, protection in accordance with law be afforded to them. Serial No. 64 2 WP(C) No. 3762/2025 3. Needless to say that this Court has not expressed any opinion qua validity of marriage of the petitioners and in the event grievances of the petitioners are found genuine by the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 and protection is granted to them, no unnecessary harassment shall be caused to the private respondents. 4.
