In view of the objections raised by the Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlements) Punjab, Chandigarh, and in accordance with the orders dated 24.01.2025 passed by the Hon’ble High Court in the aforesaid writ petition, Shri Rana Pratap Singh, Block Development and Panchayat Officer (Retd.) is being paid the retirement benefits along with 6% interest. These orders are issued after pre-audit by the Department’s Deputy Controller (Finance and Accounts).” 2. It is submitted that the amount along with interest would be released within a period of one month from today. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in view of the same, the present contempt petition be disposed of but respondents be bound by the statement made before this Court and liberty be granted to the petitioner to revive the present contempt petition in case respondents backtrack from the said statement. 4. In view of the above, the present contempt petition is disposed of. Respondents would be bound by the statement made before this Court.
