The petitioners, through the medium of present petition have sought a direction upon respondent No.2 to make a reference in respect of the final award dated 03.09.2012 to the District Judge, Reasi for determination of just compensation in terms of Section 18 of J&K Land Acquisition Act with respect to their land measuring 1 kanal 15 marlas owned by petitioner No.1, land measuring 04 kanal 08 marlas owned by the petitioner No.2 to 5, land measuring 02 kanls 01 marlas owned by petitioner No.6 and the land measuring 04 kanals 08 marlas owned by the predecessors of the petitioners No.7 to 9, falling under khasra No.743 situated Village Kundrorian, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi. 2. Learned counsel for petitioners has submitted that a reference in respect of the aforesaid award is already Serial No. 63 2 WP(C) No.2928/2025 pending for determination before the learned Principal, District Judge, Reasi and some of the land owners, after making of reference by the Collector, had approached this Court by way of writ petition bearing OWP No.1873/2018, in which a direction came to be issued upon the Collector to take a decision under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act in respect of representation made by the petitioners therein, whereafter a reference in respect of those petitioners was also made to the District Judge, Reasi on 02.03.2021. It has been submitted that the petitioners are similarly situated, therefore, similar direction deserves to be passed in the present case. 3. Having regard to the nature of the relief that has been sought by the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Collector to decide and dispose of the representations dated 22.07.2025 and 04.10.2025 made by the petitioners in accordance with law.
