The prayer in the instant criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that the petitioners participated in tender of bid for loading and unloading of grain in department of Grain, Punjab but private respondents i.e. respondent Nos.3 and 4 threatened the petitioners to not to participate in that tender bid and wanted them to withdraw their bid. Learned counsel submits that the petitioners have moved a representation dated 09.09.2025 (Annexure P-2) to Superintendent of Police, but no action has been taken so far. 3. Notice of motion. Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepted notice on behalf of respondent-State and submitted that the petitioners are involved in criminal activities and to pressurize the police department, they have filed the present petition. 5. Keeping in view the fact that the pleadings of the petitioners are specific that they have participated in a tender bid but respondent No.4 in collusion with respondent No.3 is not allowing them to continue with the process of getting the tender, respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation dated 09.09.2025 (Annexure P-2) and take action in accordance with law. 7.
