This is a petition filed under Article 226 read with Section 528 BNSS 2023 for extension of parole in Appeal No.CRA-D-1208-2025 on account of death cremation funeral of petitioner’s mother. 2. Short reply by way of affidavit of Anil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent, District Prison, Gurugram on behalf of the respondents-State has been filed. The same is taken on record. 3. As per the said reply, the last rites & rituals (chhmahi) of convict’s mother was confirmed and her chhmahi is going to be held at his village on 12.10.2025. It is also stated that if the convict’s emergency parole is extended, the possibility of absconding or committing the crime again cannot be ruled out.
