(Oral) Prayer made in the application is for grant of interim bail/ regular to the petitioner for 15 days as minor son of the petitioner has unfortunately expired on 07.09.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the minor son of the petitioner aged about five years, namely, Ekjot Singh had expired on 07.09.2025 and his Bhog Ceremony is to be held on 17.09.2025. He has also placed on record the Panchayatnama as well as Bhog Ceremony card as Annexures P7 and P8. It has also been submitted that the interim bail application filed before learned trial Court has already been withdrawn. It has been prayed that for enabling the petitioner to attend the post death rituals of his deceased son, he be granted interim bail for 15 days. Status report by way of an affidavit of Rajbir Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, (CAW/C), Ferozepur/ Additional Charge of DSP(SD), Zira, District Ferozepur, has been filed on behalf of the respondent-State and the same is taken on record. In this context, annexure R2/T and R3/T have been appended with the status report. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, the request for interim bail is declined. However, to enable the petitioner to attend Bhog Ceremony of his son, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur is directed to make the necessary arrangements for taking the petitioner to the venue of Bhog Ceremony in safe and proper custody on 17.09.2025 and he be brought back to the jail on the same day after attending the Bhog ceremony of his son. A copy of this order be sent to the authorities concerned for the necessary compliance. The expenses for the vehicle etc. shall be borne by the petitioner.
