Heard learned Counsel Mr. T.Thakuria for the petitioner Piklu Deb who has filed this application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 with a prayer for bail as he is behind bars since 13.01.2025 in connection with Diphu PS Case No. 46/2024 under Section 376 of the IPC. The allegation against the petitioner is that he threatened the victim and forcefully committed sexual assault and impregnated her. When the victim learnt about her pregnancy, she informed the petitioner but the petitioner fled and he switched off his mobile phone. The victim thereafter lodged the FIR. 5. I have considered the submissions at the Bar with circumspection. 6. It appears that the petitioner is willing to co-operate with the investigation and he has pledged to abide by any stringent bail condition if imposed upon him. 7. It appears that investigation may have also presumably progressed substantially. 8. Considering all aspects, prayer for bail is allowed. 9. The petitioner named above shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.50,000/- with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Karbi Anglong, Diphu. 10.
