This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(I) issue a writ, order of direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 Sub Divisional Officer Lalganj, District Azamgarh to consider and decide stay application of petitioner dated 28.4.2025 (contained in Annexure No.4 to writ petition) filed in appeal i.e. Case No.T-202515060406722) Leelawati versus Durgawati under Section 207 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 expeditiously, preferable within the time specify by this Hon'ble Court;" 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that stay application filed in appeal under Section 207 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 is pending consideration before respondent no. 2. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents, with a direction upon respondent no. 2 to decide the stay application dated 28.04.2025 filed in Case No. T202515060406722 (Leelawati versus Durgawati), in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two weeks, from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits.
