By consent, final order is being passed in the Writ Petition, at the stage of admission itself. 3. The prayer in the Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent herein to consider the representation letter dated 22.08.2025 of the petitioner for issuing patta in respect of land measuring an extent of 1995 sq.ft comprised in S.No. 167/3 and 167/1B (LG Nagar Plot No.5) of Madipakkam Village within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court. 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.34887 of 2025 4. The case of the petitioner, as stated in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition is that the petitioner has purchased the subject property vide a sale deed dated 30.08.1991 registered as Document No.2560 of 1991; that after the said purchase, the petitioner came to know that the land was subject to Urban Land Ceiling, however, the petitioner applied for regularization of the said land under the Innocent Buyer Category and the Director of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax vide letter dated 23.12.2024, required the petitioner to pay prescribed fee of Rs.46,325/- that the petitioner also paid the regularization fee, pursuant to which, the Director of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax (FAC) also vide dated 25.02.2025 had required the petitioner to obtain patta; immediately thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the fourth respondent, to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. But, the representation has not been considered by the respondent-Tahsildar. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 5. Having regard to the abovesaid facts of the case and the nature of the relief, sought for, in the Writ Petition, I am inclined to direct the fourth 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.34887 of 2025 respondent-Tahsildar, to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.08.2025, and pass orders, on merits, and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, if required within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, or, on production of the copy of this order. It is made clear that, this Court has not gone into the merits of the petitioner's claim. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
