Petitioner has been made accused in connection with ATS P.S. Case No. 08 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 308(2)/308(3)/308(4)/308(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of learned A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge, ATS, Ranchi. 3. On 30.10.2024, the Informant received extortion call from a Mobile No. 9420315175. The accused identified himself as Amarendra Tiwary. He threatened the Informant that if Rs. 5.00 crore is not handed over, he will have to face dire consequence. 4. It was submitted that the mobile phone from which extortion call was made, does not belong to the petitioner. It was further submitted that apart from confession, there is no other material against the petitioner on the record. 5. Mr. Tarun Kumar, learned A.P.P after going through the case diary, does not dispute the aforesaid facts. 6. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge, ATS, Ranchi in connection with A.T.S P.S.
