Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State- respondents and perused the record. 2. The present petition has been filed with the following prayer: "i. Issue a writ order or direction, in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 24.12.2024 passed by the Respondent No. 2/Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Varanasi Region, Tehsil Kerakat, District Jaunpur (Annexure-9 to this writ petition)." 3. The petitioner has approached this Court challenging the decree dated 24.12.2024 passed in proceedings under Section 116 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection that the petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing appeal against the order impugned. 5. Since the petitioner has an alternative remedy, I am not inclined to entertain the instant petition. 6.
