1. By this petition, petitioner herein has alleged non- compliance/willful disobedience of the order dated 25.09.2024 passed by this Court in case titled “Rajinder Singh Vs. UT of J & K & Ors.” bearing WP (C) No. 2273/2024, wherein the following direction has been issued:
“09….. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the instant writ petition is taken up for final disposal and, is accordingly, disposed of by directing the respondents to treat the instant writ petition as a representation filed by the petitioner and accord consideration to the same within six weeks from the date a copy of this order and copy of the instant writ petition along with the annexure(s) are made available to the respondents, strictly under rules and as per law. The order of consideration which is likely to be passed be forwarded to the petitioner by the respondents through registered post.
2. Ms. Chetna Manhas, learned counsel appearing for the respondents has produced a copy of the communication dated 05.06.2026, Sr. No. 59

wherein the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba has stated that he has released an amount of Rs. 1,07,642/- in favour of Respondent No. 5 with the direction to immediately release the said amount in favour of the petitioner. It is further stated that instead of clearing the liability of the petitioner, Respondent No. 5 has requested for post-facto administrative approval, which is purely in the domain of Respondent No. 4. However, in the similar writ petitions which have been disposed of, no post-facto administrative approval has been issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba. Copy of the communication dated 05.06.2026 is taken on record.
3. In the aforesaid backdrop, this Court deems it appropriate to direct Respondent No. 5 to release an amount of Rs. 1,07,642/-, in favour of the petitioner, without asking for post-facto administrative approval within a period of two weeks, from the date of passing of this order.
4. In view of the above, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the instant contempt petition, as such, the proceedings in the same are dropped and rule, if any, framed against the respondents, be discharged. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court, if the cause survives, otherwise.
