Vijayanand Sharma, learned senior panel counsel appeared on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 & 2 and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appeared on behalf of respondent Nos. 3 & 4 through VC platform. [2] At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by issuing a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong District (Respondent No. 4) to consider the representation dated 25-07- 2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of relevant Rule and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order within a stipulated period.
WP(C) No. 818 of 2024 Page 3 [4] Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA and Mr. Themchuiyo Kashung, learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that they have no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the counsel appearing for the petitioners. [5] Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interests of justice to issue the following directions :- (i) The Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong District, Manipur is hereby
directed to consider the representation dated 25-07-2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of relevant Rule and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order. (ii) The Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong District, Manipur is further directed to give an opportunity of being heard to the petitioners at the time of considering the said representation by issuing appropriate notice. (iii) It is made clear that the consideration and disposal of the said representation should be
