NHAI vs. Meena Kumari Arb. Appeal No.56 of 2024 11.09.2026 Present: Ms. Sneh Bhimta, Advocate vice counsel, for the appellant. Mr. Ram Kumar, Advocate, for the respondent. OMP No.910 of 2026 The instant application has been filed for the release of amount of compensation in a decided matter. It has been contended in the application that since the appeal stands finally decided by this Court on 18.09.2024 and the said judgment has not been assailed before the Hon'ble Apex Court, therefore, the entire awarded amount lying deposited in the Registry of this Court may be ordered to be released by remitting the same in the saving bank account of the applicant. It has been further contended that the applicant requires the amount of compensation for daily expenses. The fact that the judgment passed by this Court has not been assailed before the Apex Court has been duly acknowledged by the learned counsel for the non- applicant. Consequently, in view of the averments made in the application, which is duly supported by an affidavit, the entire awarded amount lying deposited in the Registry of this Court along with up-to-date interest is ordered to be released by remitting the same in the saving bank account number as mentioned in para-11 of the application. Accordingly, the application stands disposed of. ( Romesh Verma ) Judge September 11, 2026 (vt)
