Appellant present in person submits that he was in jail and his family members engaged a private counsel, who had filed the present appeal, but he was not informed about the filing of the appeal. Consequently, he applied for legal aid counsel and another appeal has been filed through legal aid counsel. He further submits he does not want to proceed with the appeal filed through private counsel becasue he is not in a position to pay the fee of private counsel and he would pursue the appeal filed through legal aid, hence, in these circumstances, the appeal bearing Criminal Appeal No. 144 of 2024 is dismissed as withdrawn.
