This petition proceeds purely on humanitarian grounds whereby the petitioner seeks indulgence by way of direction to the respondents to consider his case in the light of the communication appended with the file, and further to allow him to continue as casual labour in the sub-division Bijbehara. The petitioner is further seeking direction to the respondents for payment of his wages. 02. On the other hand, the respondents have filed the objections and have taken a stand that for the period the petitioner worked, he was duly paid, and after March 2015, he did not perform his duties. Therefore, the relief prayed for cannot be granted. 03. Since, admittedly, the factum of not performing the duties after March 2015 is not disputed, nor is it disputed that the petitioner was not paid for the period he worked, however, the only prayer is made by the petitioner that his case for continuation may be considered purely on the humanitarian grounds. 04. Keeping in view the limited prayer made in this petition, the petition is disposed of by providing that in case the respondents intend to hire the services of any causal labour for a particular work in future, the candidature of the petitioner shall also be considered, accordingly, keeping in view his suitability for the work. 05.
