The writ petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of in terms of order dated 18.06.2019, the operating part of the order is extracted as under: “In view of the aforesaid submissions, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the legal notice dated 24.05.2019 for release of the payment pending with them within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is made available to the respondents by the petitioner.” 2. The respondents have filed their objections stating therein that examination of records available in erstwhile JAKFED, the liquidator had prepared and submitted a report on 04.02.2021 to the Government, thereby showing an amount of ₹12,04,537/- under the account head “Claims of Suppliers/Firms” (Tor Steel) as liability towards M/S Pallavi Associate. It is further stated that the respondents have never accepted the amount of ₹65.64/- lacs and they have already replied to the said notice of the petitioner. Serial No. 159 -2- 3. At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondents be directed to release ₹12,04,537/-. This Court is of the considered view that once there is no such direction in the order referred to above which is the subject matter of the present contempt petition, a direction as sought by learned counsel for the petitioner cannot be issued by this Court as the Court cannot travel beyond the order. 4. In view of the above, the proceedings in the present contempt petition are closed. CCP(S) No. 546/2019 Learned counsel appearing for the respondents is directed to file compliance report before the next date of hearing. List on 07.09.2026.
