Even though respondents have not filed reply, however, with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter has been heard at this stage.

This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive relief: -
“a. That writ of mandamus may kindly be issued directing the respondents to release the compensation amount in favour of the

2 petitioner being the member of project affected family which has ben retrained by the respondent within time bound period.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already preferred a representation for the redressal of the grievance raised in this writ petition on 12.03.2022 (Annexure P- 16) to respondent No.4-Deputy Commissioner, District Kinnaur at Reckong Peo. The same was followed by a reminder dated 22.04.2024 (Annexure P-17), however, till date, the aforesaid representation has not yet been considered and decided, in accordance with law. Learned counsel further submitted that the petitioners would be satisfied if respondent No.4/competent authority is directed to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioners, in accordance with law and the applicable policy, within a time-bound manner.
Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection to this prayer.

Having regard to the above submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, the instant petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.4/competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioners, in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all concerned stakeholders, including respondent No.5, within a period of eight
3 weeks from today. The order so passed shall also be communicated to the parties. Needless to clarify that all rights and contentions of the parties have been left open. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
