For the reasons stated in the application, same is allowed and bailable warrants for respondent No. 1 issued in terms of order dated 06.06.2026 are recalled. 2. CM is disposed of. CCP(S) 246/2024: 3. By this petition, petitioners herein have alleged non-compliance of the order dated 26.02.2024 passed in WP(C) No. 1127/2023, whereby it was directed: Therefore, with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of by providing that claim of the petitioners for release of the contract amount shall be considered by the respondents within a period of three months and while considering the claim they shall hear the petitioners and pass order strictly in accordance with the provisions of law. 4. Mr. Showkat Hussain, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Kashmir is present through virtual mode. 5. Compliance report stands filed by respondents on 28.07.2026, wherein it is stated that a detailed consideration order dated 24.07.2026 has been passed by the respondents and amount of Rs. 6,99,524/- has been released in favour of the petitioner, which has been duly received by him. 6. It is stated in the consideration order dated 24.07.2026 that Rs. 64,485/- has also been released by the Executive Engineer, PHE Mechanical Division Sopore, as such, no amount beyond the verified and admissible claims is found to be payable as per the available records and verification reports. 7. Respondents are directed to release the balance amount of Rs. 64,485/- within a period of one week in terms of order dated 26.02.2024. 8. This Court had directed the respondents to consider the petitioners' claim for release of the contract amount within a period of three months, after affording them an opportunity of being heard. The respondents have, thus, complied with the order dated 26.02.2024 in its letter and spirit. 9. Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are closed, with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the consideration order dated 24.07.2026, if they are so advised and also for the revival of this petition if the balance amount is not released by the respondents.
