AG for respondents No. 1 to 4. : Mr. Tara Chand Chauhan, Advocate for respondent No. 5. : Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has approached this Court inter alia praying for the following reliefs:- “(i) That the impugned order contained in Annexure P-2 dated 31.07.2023 passed by the respondent No. 5 may kindly be quashed & set-aside being arbitrary, illegal, discriminatory, non- est, void-ab-initio and against the GPF Rules by issuing writ of Certiorari, with further direction to the respondent(s) to release balance amount of Rs. 13,13,657/- only in favour of the petitioner in terms of the interim order dated 07.01.2023 (Annexure P-5) passed by this Hon'ble Court in CWP No. 130 of 2023 and justice be done; (ii) To grant to the petitioner such other consequential reliefs, which the Hon'ble Court may deem just & proper in facts and circumstances of the matter;” 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2. Today, when the case was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over to the court the copy of the reply filed to the petition by the respondents-State. By referring to Annexures R-13 and R-14 appended therewith, which are office orders dated 06.06.2026 and office communication dated 01.07.2026, he submitted that as the grievance of the petitioner now stands redressed by the Department, interest of justice would be served, in case, this petition is disposed of with the direction that needful in terms of orders Annexures R-13 and 14 be done within some time-bound period. 3. In light of the fact that, as per the petitioner, his grievance stands redressed in terms of Annexures R-13 and R-14, this petition is disposed of with the direction that the GPF amounting to 13,13,657/- along with interest accrued thereon be ₹ definitely released in favor of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and not later than 30th of September 2026.
