Also heard Mr.Kanwaljeet Singh Saini, learned Panel Lawyer appearing for respondents No.1 and 2/State. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that husband of respondent No.2 has died on 14.06.2022 and it is stated that the FIR has been lodged against the family members of the husband after death of her husband on 08.10.2022. They further submitted that the present matter be referred to Mediation & Conciliation Centre of this Court as there may be chances of compromise between the parties. Considering the dispute arrived at between the parties, we deem it appropriate to make an effort to get the said dispute settled by way of mediation. In view of the above, petitioner No.1 shall deposit Rs.50,000/- before the Mediation Centre of this Court within two weeks from today and the same shall be paid to respondent No. 2 on her appearance before the Mediation Centre. 3 / 4 The matter is remitted to the Mediation Centre with a direction that the Mediation Centre shall conclude the mediation and conciliation proceedings expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months after giving notices to both the parties. List this matter thereafter along with report of Mediation Centre. Till the next date of listing, further proceedings in relation to charge-sheet submitted before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bilaspur pursuant to the FIR registered in Crime No.56/2022 for offence under Sections 498A, 294 and 506/34 of the IPC at Mahila Thana, Bilaspur against the petitioners, shall remain stayed. After depositing the amount as aforesaid, notices shall be issued to the parties. It is made clear that in case the aforesaid amount is not deposited within the stipulated period, the interim protection granted above shall automatically be vacated and this petition shall stand dismissed without further reference to any Bench of this Court. 4 / 4 Bablu It is also made clear that, if any, final settlement is arrived at between the parties, the aforesaid amount so deposited, shall be adjusted.
