(Oral) The challenge in this appeal is made to the judgment and order dated 14.03.2024, passed in Original Suit No.392of 2018, Aditya Thapar Vs. Smt. Deepika Negi, by the court of Additional Judge, Family Court, Dehradun, by which, though the petition for divorce filed by the appellant has been dismissed, but the counter claim seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty, as filed by the respondent, has been allowed. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and perused the record. 3. Learned counsel for the parties submits that parties have arrived at a settlement now, and they have decided to stay separate. A joint application, Miscellaneous Application, IA No.1 of 2026, along with compromise deed has been filed. 4. The parties have joined the proceedings through video conferencing, as identified by their respected counsel. They have accepted and verified the contents of the compromise deed, which is part of the Miscellaneous Application, IA No.1 of 2026. 2 5. According to the parties, they have decided to stay separate, and their marriage may be dissolved. 6. Since the parties have settled the dispute amicably, the appeal is decided in terms of the compromise arrived at between the parties. The compromise deed, which is part of the Miscellaneous Application, IA No.1 of 2026, shall form part of this order. 7. The marriage between the parties stands dissolved. (Alok Mahra, J.)
