p. 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK
W.P.(C) No. 27079 of 2024
Fakir Malik …. Petitioner(s)
None -versus- Addl. Commissioner, Land Records (S & C), Kendrapara …. Opposite Party(s)
Mr. J.K. Bal, AGA
CORAM:
THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SIBO SANKAR MISHRA
Order No.
ORDER 19.03.2026
01.
1. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner by invoking writ jurisdiction of this Court to explore the following relief:-
“The petitioner therefore most humbly prays to the Honourable Court may be kind enough and graciously be pleased to issue directions to the Opp. Party to disposed of the R.C. Case No.19/2024 at an early date, for the ends of justice.”
2. It seems that R.C. Case No.19/2024 under Section 37(1) of O.C.H. & P.L.F. Act, 1972 has been pending before the court of the Addl. Commissioner Consolidation and Settlement Odisha, Kendrapara since February, 2023. The petitioner is seeking direction from this Court for early disposal of the said R.C. case. Speedy disposal of the case of present nature is a right p. 2 which could be enforced through a writ petition. Since the prayer seems to be innocent, I am inclined to allow the writ petition. It is directed that the Addl. Commissioner, Consolidation and Settlement, Odisha, Kendrapara, shall do well to see that R.C. Case No. 19/2024 is finally decided, as expeditiously as possible.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
