RAMACHANDRA RAO HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE BISWAJIT PALIT =O=R=D=E=R= 02/02/2026 Learned Advocate General stated that all the toilets in 32 Government Schools which were previously non-functional have since been made functional by carrying out the necessary repairs. Though the learned Amicus Curiae has also suggested that CCTV Cameras be installed in front of all the Schools to counter the drug menace in the State, such a direction, in our opinion is not appropriate in view of financial implications and privacy concerns. Also we are sure that the State Government is taking adequate steps to deal with the drug menace by doing whatever is deemed necessary in that regard. Therefore, this PIL is closed.
