1. Petitioner, through the medium of this contempt petition seeks to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondents for having violated Court Directions/ Orders dated 12th of August, 2024 passed in WP(C) 1799/2024 with a direction to consider to release of an amount of Rs. 63.79 Lacs, due to the petitioner as was mentioned in the correspondence No. SE/D/SMC/3348-49 dated 14th of June, 2026
addressed by Superintending Engineer, Drainage Circle (SMC) Srinagar to the FA/ Chief Accounts Officer Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the amount of 63.79 Lacs ordered to be paid to the petitioner was released in Treasury through online mode in favour of the Executing Agency by the Executive Engineer, City Drainage Civil Division, SMC Srinagar as per communication No. CDC/Estb/5299-5301 dated 23rd of December, 2024, copy of which was produced and retained on file.
3. There is also no representation on behalf of the petitioner disputing the aforesaid position and or asserting that the petitioner would have received the amount.
4. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondents and the document placed on record, the directions passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 1799/2024, appear to have been complied with and the grievance projected in the present petition stands satisfied, fully and finally.
5. In the aforestated backdrop, CCP(S) 406/2024 is disposed of as settled.
