Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following reliefs:- “i) Issue a writ of mandamus, certiorari or other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing the retirement order dated 29.02.2024 (Annexure P-3) for all intents and purposes. ii. Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate, order or direction by directing the respondents department to treat the retirement age of the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 petitioner as 29.02.2026 i.e. 60 years in terms of the judgment dated 28.05.2024 in CWP No. 2274 of 2021 titled Satya Devi Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh and Ors. and allow him to continue on the job, for all intents and purposes. iii. Issue a writ of certiorari, mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction by directing the respondents department to reengage the petitioner forthwith and also pay the salary to petitioner w.e.f. 01.03.2024 to till his reengagement of service within time bound manner alongwith 12% interest. 2. In light of the fact that the issue raised by the petitioner in this petition is pending adjudication before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, as agreed, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the parties shall abide by the final judgment passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Satya Devi’s case. 3.
