This is a bail application U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioner for grant of bail in connection with Gunupur PS Case No.94 of 2024 corresponding to CT Case No.38 of 2024 pending in the file of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Gunupur, for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.498-A/302/201 of IPC r/w Section 4 of DP Act, on the main allegation of committing uxoricide and dowry death of his wife by subjecting her to torture and cruelty for demand of dowry. 3. Heard, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P. Satpathy, learned Additional Public Prosecutor in the matter and perused the record. 4. After having considered the rival submissions upon perusal of record, there appears allegation against the petitioner for committing uxoricide and dowry death of his wife. In the aforesaid facts and circumstance and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the petitioner vis-à-vis the allegation sought to be brought against him and regard being had to the materials placed on record together with the opinion of the doctor as to the cause of death of the deceased in the Post Mortem Report and keeping in view the recovery of the dead body allegedly from the house of the petitioner and taking into account the other circumstances on record in entirety, this Court does not consider it proper to grant bail to the petitioner. 5. Hence, the bail application of the petitioner stands rejected. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
