The instant contempt petition arises out of an order/judgment passed by the learned Writ Court, whereby writ petition- WP(C) No. 2537/2022, decided on 6th September 2022 preferred by the petitioner was disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s claim in accordance with the rules and regulations, after hearing the petitioner, and thereafter to pass a speaking order. The entire exercise was to be completed within a period of six months. 02. Since the aforesaid direction passed by the learned Writ Court was not complied with, the present contempt petition was preferred in which the notice was issued on 30th August, 2024. 03. Mr. Jehangir Ahmad Dar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the directions passed by the learned Writ Court now stands complied with, as a detailed consideration 40 Regular order in conformity with the aforesaid order/judgment has been passed. A copy of the said order has already been placed on record along with CM No. 8927/2025 which till date has not been allowed. CM No. 8927/2025: 04. For the reasons stated in the application, coupled with the submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents, the same is allowed and the consideration order accompanying the said application is taken on record From a bare perusal of the consideration order which has been annexed with the instant application, it is apparent that the order of the learned Writ Court stands complied with and the case of the petitioner has been accorded due consideration. The claim, according to the respondents was found to be devoid of any merit and accordingly stands rejected for the reasons stated in the aforesaid consideration order bearing Order No. 184/JSD/2025 dated 16.12.2025. 05. In the aforesaid backdrop, Mr. Jehangir Ahmad Dar, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the proceedings in the instant contempt petition are liable to be closed as the order/judgment passed by the learned Writ Court stands complied with. 06. Heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the detailed consideration order. 07. After perusing the same, this Court is of the considered view that the order/judgment passed by the learned Writ Court stands complied with, as the direction was only to the extent of according consideration to the claim of the petitioner in accordance with the rules and regulations and after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner. The said order has been passed in tune with the order/judgment passed by the learned Writ Court. 08. Thus, no contempt is made out as the order/judgment stands complied with. Accordingly, the proceedings in the instant contempt petition are closed. Rule, if any shall stand discharged. 09. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the aforesaid order of consideration by way of appropriate proceedings, if so, advised on all available grounds. 10.
