By way of the present petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, (BNSS) 2023, the petitioners seek quashment of FIR No. 36 of 2026 registered at Police Station Panzalla, Baramulla. 2. This Court, vide order dated 24.07.2024, while issuing notice in the matter, had directed that the investigation in the impugned FIR shall proceed in accordance with law, however, filing of the final report/charge-sheet, if contemplated, shall await further orders of this Court. 3. Perusal of the record of proceedings further reveals that on 25.03.2026, the Investigating Officer, namely Mr. Manzoor Ahmad, Sub-Inspector, Belt No. 140/Spr, Police Station Panzalla, Baramulla, appeared in person along with the Case Diary and submitted before this Court that the investigation in the matter had been concluded, but the charge-sheet could not be presented before the competent court in view of the interim order passed by this Court on 24.07.2024. 4. Accordingly, this Court, vide order dated 25.03.2026, directed the Investigating Officer concerned to present the charge-sheet/final report before the competent court of jurisdiction positively on or before the next date of hearing. 5. Today, when the matter is taken up, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Be that as it may, in view of the subsequent developments and particularly in light of the order dated 25.03.2026 permitting the Investigating Officer to file the final report, the cause projected in the present petition no longer survives for adjudication before this Court. 6. Once the investigation stands concluded and the final report/charge-sheet has been permitted to be filed before the competent court, it shall be open to the petitioners to avail such remedies as may be available to them in law and to raise all permissible grounds before the court of competent jurisdiction at the appropriate stage. 7. In view of the above, nothing further survives for consideration in the present petition. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, along with all connected application/s, if any. 8. Interim direction(s), if any, shall stand vacated. 9.
