01. In the instant contempt petition, the petitioner seeks the initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance with the judgment dated 08.05.2025. By virtue of said judgment, the respondents were directed to release and pay the salary to the appellant for the period during which he had actually worked, notwithstanding the legitimacy or otherwise of his engagement order.
02. Today, when the matter came up for consideration, Mr. Faheem Nisar Shah, GA, produced a copy of a communication dated 24.03.2026, wherein it is stated that the salary due to the petitioner has been processed and released. An amount of Rs. 16,37,064/- has been paid to the petitioner for the period from 04/2012 to 03/2023, calculated at the rate of Rs. 12,402/- per month. The communication is taken on record.
03. In view of the above, nothing survives for further consideration in this petition. Accordingly, the proceedings are dropped, and the contempt petition is closed.
